Farewell Dinner

WE had our farewell dinner with Ross and Edith Brown and Vance and Connie Christensen tonight here in the apartment.  I fixed our traditional flæskesteg dinner we used to serve our missionaries 10 years ago.  Flæskesteg  (pork roast with rind), boiled potatoes. brown sauce (gravy with a bit of cream mixed in), red cabbage and pickled beets.  I added carrots for color.
Dessert was the traditional lagkage.  Three thin cake layers with cake cream (pudding) and fruit in the middle, then coverered with whipped cream and fruit.
