It was a fairly informal meeting and stories and experience about bonds of sisterhood.were shared. There was a wonderful spirit there. Elder Bednar came in for 15 minutes and informally shared his testimony. Both he and Sister Bednar spoke about being yoked with Christ who carries our burdens and is the only source of enduring hope. Our covenants yoke us with Christ.
Elder Bednar said the Lord is hastening his work, He is doing it, not us, and the question is whether we can keep up. He spoke of phenomenal growth in West Africa and asked if we thought the church in Africa and India would run as it does here in Denmark or America. The doctrine, ordinances and covenants will always be the same, but some of the "traditions" may change.
I took the sisters to see the temple while their husbands were finishing up their meetings. Such dedicated, lovely women. Sister Bednar and Sister Hallstrom arrived from The States last night and were running on very little sleep. They were amazing.
