Bornholm Visit with Debbie

Our daughter Debbie, arrived Saturday afternoon and we wisked her off to Bornholm for the weekend as we had a speaking assignment in the little branch there on Sunday.
Elder Curtis is 6"7" and just arrived 3 weeks ago.  He has excellent Danish since his mother was born here.

Bornholm is a Danish Island in the Baltic Sea between Sweden and :Poland.  You can catch ferries to both places.  We had to drive an hour through Sweden to catch the ferry over.  It was rainy and windy and a rather rough trip.  But we ended up in a great little hotel up the coast at Hasle ..Hotel Harald.
The breakfasts were lovely, but the the fleaskesteg buffet was fabulous!  I have never had such good fleaskesteg..Her secret, soak it in salt water the day before and cook at 120 degrees C for 4 hours.
Bornholm is full of postcard picture towns and harbors.  Nowhere is more than 15 kilometers (10 miles ) from the ocean
.There are about 45,000 people that live on the island, but it in the summer it triples.  It is a favorite vacation spot for Germans as well as Danes and Swedes.

More pictures tomorrow of the unique round churches.
