Round Churches

Round churches are unique to Bornholm.  They were a church and fortress in one.  They were mainly for protection against pirates.

This was our favorite.  The interior central pillar has frescoes of The creation and Fall of Adam and Eve.

 WE loved the Fall decorations throughout the church.

This was the largest of the round churches and you could climb up the old stone stairs to the top floor.
