Sidewalks

Some of Denmark's sidewalks are put together like works of art.  I passed this project on my way home from my last haircut.

 Trench dug

 Filled in with curb put in place

 Rough gravel is then spread and tapped down with this machine

 Finer sand is put on and tapped down... and with this "mover" the heavy cement pavers are put in place along a plumb line with wood spacers in the middle.

These smaller ones will be put along the side and down the middle. 

It is all done by hand and I realized there can be all sorts of patterns that can be created and spaces  filled in.
