Turkey - Ephesus

Day two of our cruise we were at sea and day three we

docked in Kusadasi, Turkey,  which was our gateway to see the Virgin Mary's House.......

 and Ephesus

 A large city and wonderful ruins.

 Remains of one of the largest libraries of the time.

 The coliseum where Paul spoke.

 it could seat 24,000 people.

On the way back, we stopped at a rug demonstration.  The most interesting part was watching how they take the pictured brush and beat the cocoons and catch about thirty threads that they then wind into silk thread.

We all really enjoyed this tour we had lined up on our own.  It was supposed to be for 8, but we were the only three, so it was really a personal tour.
